VDM capitalizes on existing skill sets with Office Applications to make users feel more comfortable and be productive in record time. The Outlook © like Navigation Tree is familiar to most users, easily customizable to meet growing needs and can manage even the largest and most complex data sets with ease. VDM incorporates a rich set of features to make the Tree more manageable, like a Home Node, a Quick Launch Area for the most used Nodes, a Bookmarks and Recent History List for fast Navigation.

VDM data is displayed and edited in the Main Grid and Related Data Grids Areas just like in Excel ©, by selecting a cell and typing or selecting data from a pulldown to update. Tabs in both Areas allow quick viewing and editing of much more data than can be displayed at once on the Desktop. Any Property can be renamed, hidden and restored easily, as well as its display format changed

The Image and File Area allows you to Drag and Drop Images and Files conveniently between Windows Explorer © and VDM. Images can also be Acquired from Cameras and Scanners as well as opened and saved to disk with just a Right-Click. VDM is aware of many file formats and will create Thumbnails automatically, optionally rotating them for fast and easy preview or eMail and Web output.

The remainder of VDM includes Tools like the Calculator, Calendar, Clock, Multimedia Player and Recorder to enhance their usability by making them readily available and linked to the current data. Dates and Times can be easily edited by simply Double-Clicking the correct Time and Date on the Clock and Calendar. Audio Notes can be recorded and saved with any data in VDM, then quickly played back for a convenient way to communicate instructions or comments related to the data. The Calculator always contains the current data and can be used to quickly change and update that data mathematically.
